What Decision Did You Make Today?
All too often, when God prompts our hearts, we do absolutely nothing which ends up being the worst decisions we ever make. Use this moment to say “YES” to God in whatever He’s leading you to do.

Make a Decision
-
A. Trust in Jesus
Right now, you are recognizing that you are a sinner in need of a Savior. You’ve lived outside of God’s perfect plan for your life and acknowledge that trusting your life to Jesus is your only hope to be on right terms with God—both here and now, and also for eternity.
Today, in this moment, you acknowledge your sin and ask for forgiveness. You trust in Jesus as God’s provision for you—His death (as a sacrifice for your sins), His burial, and His resurrection. You commit to living a life following Jesus’ example and experience the joy of having a personal relationship with the God of the universe.
-
B. Be Baptized
You’ve trusted your life to Jesus, yet you’ve never followed through in believer’s baptism as an act of identifying with Christ and letting others know what Jesus has done in your life. You want to take this next step in your faith journey.
Baptism doesn’t save you; it is a symbol of what God has already done in you. However, baptism is a very spiritual occasion. God is pleased with us when we act out of obedience and faith—recognizing what He has done in us through Jesus’ sacrifice on our behalf. And just as Jesus died, was buried, and raised from the dead; we also are new creations in Christ. (2 Cor. 5:17)

Parental Questions to Ask Your Kids about Christmas
-
Christmas is about a promise God kept. Behind all the pageantry and story of a baby being born in a lowly manger with visits from angels, shepherds, and wise men, Christmas is a promise God kept. God promised that He would send a messiah (a special person) who would save us from our sins. This “messiah” would be called “Emmanuel” meaning “God with us.” (Isaiah 7:14) God sent Jesus to our world to show us clearly who God is and let us know how we can be in a relationship with Him.
-
We have a “sin” problem. You see, we have done things that God said is wrong. And because of our sin, we are separated from God and in need of His forgiveness—otherwise we will spend eternity away from Him in an awful place called Hell. God does not want this for us, so He sent Jesus to show us His love and to take the place of our punishment, and to grant us forgiveness through faith in Him. John 3:16 says, “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”
-
Every individual needs to trust in Jesus for the forgiveness of sins. The Bible says, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God…in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.” (Acts 2:38) “Repent” simply means “to turn the other way.” It means to turn away from my ways of doing things and turn toward God’s plan and purpose for my life.
Romans 3:23 says, “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.”
Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 10:9-10 says, “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.”
-
Jesus promises to save us from our sins, give us strength to live every day for Him, and to invite us to spend eternity with Him when our time on earth is done. John 1:12 says, “But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.”
-
You’re a child of the King! God loves you and wants to have a close relationship with you. He wants to be part of every area of your life-to love you, guide you, support you, and bless you if you will allow Him.
God’s purpose is also for you to be a representative of Him. God wants us to let others know how they can also be forgiven and have a personal relationship with Jesus (Act. 1:8, Matt. 28:19-20)

God instructs us how to live in many ways
-God tells us to read the Bible because it is His instructions on how to know and live for Him.
-God tells us to pray and talk to Him as well as listen to Him.
-God tells us to make Christian friends and be involved a Bible believing church.
-God tells to share the “good news” about Jesus with all our family, friends, and people we run into.
When we live as God wants us to, we grow closer to Him, and He promises to always be near and take care of us. No matter where we go and what we do, God will always be there for you.

If in this Christmas season, you would like to put your faith and trust in Jesus, pray a simple prayer like this…
“Jesus – I know that you made me and want me to obey you with all my heart. I know I have disobeyed and wanted to be my own boss. I have thought and done things against your directions. I am sorry. I know that you gave up your life to save me from these sins and make me your child again. I accept your promises and ask you to please save me now and forever. Amen.”
